If you want to test the fob, stand a distance away from your vehicle and click the buttons. If the lights flash or the horn sounds sound, you have successfully programmed the Intelligent Key Fob.
Like all remotes, Intelligent Key fobs require batteries in order to function. If the battery in yours is depleted then our Parts Department can help you to replace it quickly and efficiently. To do this, take the key hidden in your key fob and open the compartment for its battery. Replace the battery with a brand new one after removing the previous one. Assure that the positive side of your new battery is facing in the same direction it did in the previous one. Finally shut the battery compartment and return the key to its hidden location inside the case.
Remote Start
Nissan remote start is a feature that allows drivers to cool or warm their vehicle from outside of the vehicle, if they're within operating range. Lockout Protection
Lockout protection stops lockouts caused by impedance failure. A specific module within the power control unit is able to monitor the activity of the impedance relay and shuts off the output. This feature is available for vehicles equipped with the Smart Key system, or via the personalization menu.

Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) is a method to ensure that machines are off until an authorized individual releases them, helps prevent these accidents.
The LOTO system is comprised of a set of locks tags, locks, and other devices that are used to isolate, secure or block the machine from electrical sources. All "affected", "authorized", and "qualified" personnel must be instructed in the use of lockout and tagout devices. These devices include but not limited to locks, chains padslocks, wedges adapter pins, and self-locking fasteners. Each device is identified and labeled with the date and time that it was used, the name and title of the person who is authorized and the reason for the lockout/tagout (repairs maintenance, repairs and maintenance, etc.).
